1 Pharmacy
For your convenience we have included a pharmacy as part of Bridgewater House. The pharmacy which is on the ground floor can dispense all your prescriptions or arrange delivery of your medicines to your home. Please note that some of the partners of Park End Surgery and Coach House Surgery are minority shareholders in the Pharmacy Company.
2 “Watcom”
“Watcom” stands for Watford and Three Rivers Practice based Commissioning group. This is a collaborative of all 28 GP practices in the Watford area working together with the local Primary Care Trust to redesign services and commission them in a more patient friendly and value for money way. Park End Surgery and Coach House Surgery are actively involved with Watcom’s work.
3 Direct Local Health Limited (DLHL)
The partners of Park End Surgery and Coach House Surgery are collaborating with GPs from other practices to develop new services which they feel will be of benefit for the residents of Watford. They have enlisted the help of an organisation called Healthskills Limited which has already successfully assisted Harrow GPs, and the new venture is called Direct Local Health Limited (DLHL). The partners at Park End Surgery and Coach House Surgery have a minority shareholding in this new enterprise.
Any services developed by DLHL have to be approved by West Herts Primary Care Trust. The first service that has been approved is an Ophthalmology Clinical Assessment and Treatment Service which will be available from October 2008. If you need an Ophthalmology referral after this date you will still be offered a choice; one of the choices will be the DLHL service.
