ANTE & POST NATAL CARE

Antenatal care is generally provided by both your GP and Midwife at the surgery. Once the baby is born the midwife will visit you at home for the first 10 days.

All families receive a visit by a health visitor, 11-14 days after the birth of a baby and further visits are arranged if required. Parents are encouraged to make use of our baby clinic and postnatal group for information, and support.
The Health Visitors, based at both surgeries, will contact all newly registered families with children under 5 to offer to meet them and give information about the services available.
