APPOINTMENTS
If you want to make an appointment for a specific day, then we are normally able to offer appointments up to four weeks ahead.
If you need urgent medical attention, then we will offer the first available appointment with a doctor, or one of our nurses who have been specially trained in diagnosis and treatment. We aim to offer urgent appointments within 24 hours. If you ring us in the morning, we aim to give you an appointment the same day. If you ring after 2pm, you will normally be offered an appointment the following day but we do hold some emergency appointments in the evening surgeries for urgent cases.
If you want to see a particular doctor or nurse for a specific reason (e.g. female doctor or someone that you see regularly for a long-term clinical condition), then you will be offered the next available appointment for that person.
We run various clinics such as asthma, travel immunisations etc. These appointments can be booked ahead.
You may want to speak to a doctor or nurse for some advice but not need to do this face-to-face, in which case we can book a telephone consultation. The doctor or nurse will normally return your call at the end of their booked surgery appointments, unless they have an unexpected space during surgery, when they might call you earlier. The receptionists will ask you for some details and check the phone number that you wish the doctor or nurse to use in returning your call.
